Scirpus atrovirens - Dark Green Bulrush
Dark Green Bulrush (Scirpus atrovirens) is a perennial sedge native to wetlands of eastern Canada and the United States. Its leaves are grasslike but broad, and it produces dense spikelet clusters that angle out in different directions. The foliage is green and its clustered seedheads turn brown once matured in the early summer. It is a shorter non-aggressive native plant that is great for use in rain gardens to fill the space between large flowering plants.

SCIRPUS (bULRUSH):
Scirpus is a genus of about 120 grass-like species in the sedge family, and can be found mostly inhabiting wetlands or damp locations on every continent except for Africa and Antarctica. They form a large compound cyme of 50 - 500 spikelets per inflorescence and are often brown or greenish brown. Scripus species have mainly been planted to prevent soil erosion and provide habitat for other wildlife as it can produce dense vegetation along rivers and lakes.
Returns of standard seed mixes and individual species must be made in the original unopened packaging within 10 days of delivery. If you wish to return live plants, you must do so within 5 days of delivery. Returns of standard mixes, individual species, and live plants are subject to a restocking fee of 25%. Custom seed mixes may not be returned. When returning non-damaged goods, the buyer is responsible for shipping charges, and return shipping may be made by whatever means the buyer selects.
