Oligoneuron riddellii - Riddell's Goldenrod
Riddell's Goldenrod (Oligoneuron riddellii) is a clump forming perennial with distinct foliage. Its long narrow leaves fold slightly upwards, and layer over each other as they arc gracefully away from the central stem. The tops of stems form flat-topped clusters of yellow flowers that turn reddish as the cool temperatures of autumn arrive. After bloom the flowerheads turn into tufted brown seedheads. As this plant blossoms, its leaves will often fall off and draws much attention to its cluster of yellow flowers sitting atop a naked stem.

OLIGONEURON (GOLDENROD):
Oligoneuron is 8 species of flowering plants known as a sperate genus, but they can be considered as a sub-section of the genus Solidago as they are also referred to as Goldenrod. Oligoneuron is separated from the other Goldenrods due to their corymbiform flower heads, which is a botanical term to describe an inflorescence that the outermost flowers are formed on longer pedicels than the inner to bring all the flowers to a common level. This gives the top of the flower head a flat or rounded profile, which they are sometimes called flat-topped Goldenrods.
Returns of standard seed mixes and individual species must be made in the original unopened packaging within 10 days of delivery. If you wish to return live plants, you must do so within 5 days of delivery. Returns of standard mixes, individual species, and live plants are subject to a restocking fee of 25%. Custom seed mixes may not be returned. When returning non-damaged goods, the buyer is responsible for shipping charges, and return shipping may be made by whatever means the buyer selects.
