Anemone virginiana - Tall Thimbleweed
Tall Thimbleweed (Anemone virginiana) is an erect perennial that produces multiple stems that are topped by a greenish-white flower with a thimble shaped seedhead in its center. It offers different attractions at different times of the year with the flowering during early summer, which then are replaced by long-lasting thimble-like seedheads that slowly turn into white cottony masses that remain attractive all winter. It closely resembles Thimbleweed (Anemone cylindrica), but it grows a foot taller and the thimble-shaped seedhead is smaller in length.

ANEMONE (WINDFLOWER)
Anemone is a genus of perennial, herbaceous plants that contains 120 to 150 species, mostly found in temperate and subarctic regions. The plants have interesting, more or less, deeply cut leaves, and elongated flower stems that produce one or several flowers. The seeds often have long hairy styles which help their distribution by the wind, which is why the plant's common name of Windflower is sometimes used. They are a valuable additional to a flower garden, as the genus contains many plants that flower in the early spring months of April and May.
Returns of standard seed mixes and individual species must be made in the original unopened packaging within 10 days of delivery. If you wish to return live plants, you must do so within 5 days of delivery. Returns of standard mixes, individual species, and live plants are subject to a restocking fee of 25%. Custom seed mixes may not be returned. When returning non-damaged goods, the buyer is responsible for shipping charges, and return shipping may be made by whatever means the buyer selects.

The seed labels show independent lab testing results, and the absence of weed seed is not represented or guaranteed. It makes no warranties, expressed or implied, of merchantability, fitness for purpose, or otherwise, which would extend beyond such descriptions. In any event its liability for breach of any warranty or contract with respect to such seed or plants is limited to the purchase price only. Allendan Seed Company further limits to the purchase price any liability of any kind on account of any negligence whatsoever on its part with respect to such seed or plants. By acceptance of the seed or plants, the buyer acknowledges that the limitations and disclaimers herein described are conditions of sale and that they constitute the entire agreement between the parties regarding warranty or any other liability.
